Kessler Family Health Mission Statement

I am a certified family nurse practitioner. I have been in the healthcare industry for over 18 years with background in emergency medicine, long term care, radiology, internal medicine and family practice. I love caring for people and helping them when they are most in need.

I help people achieve their optimal healthcare outcomes by encouraging them to participate in their healthcare decision making. This helps individuals to achieve their goals.

I started this journey to open a small town, family practice with new age care but with small town hospitality. I look forward to serving the Clear Spring community and surrounding areas.

I am most excited to create a small, family practice that allows a conservative approach to medicine while giving patients medical freedom of choice in their decisions. I don’t believe in mandates of healthcare.

My core values and beliefs channel a conservative mindset that doesn’t treat unnecessarily and is open to discussion about healthcare options.

I like to measure my success by the happiness of my patients and their health.

Meet Lauren

Lauren started her nursing career as a nursing assistant on an ortho/trauma floor at Washington County Hospital. She went on to pursue nursing as an LPN through a local community college and immediately returned to obtain her associates degree as a registered nurse. She graduated from Hagerstown Community College in 2010.

Upon graduation she accepted a position in a busy emergency room. This is where she accredits most of her knowledge base. She also worked in interventional radiology alongside the radiologists doing special procedures/biopsies and adding to her clinical knowledge.

In 2016, Lauren decided it was time to pursue her dream of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Chamberlain University in 2018 with a masters degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner and took a job at a very busy internal medicine practice. After about 3 years, Lauren missed seeing younger ages of the life span and took a job at a local family practice so she could provide care to all ages.

In her spare time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, cooking, traveling and looking for new adventure.

Fee Schedule

We are currently continuing the process of insurance credentialing. We will list as carriers are approved. For the time being; the fee schedule is listed below for those who wish to cash pay. Prices are subject to change at providers discretion. All payments are due prior to scheduled appointment time. We try to keep our page updated as possible but ultimately it is your responsibility to ensure we are in network with your plan.

We have self pay prices available for those who don’t have insurance - please contact office for pricing!

$50 unless part of routine well child check

All appointment payments will be due prior to your appointment time. All copays are due at time of service.

Please reach us during normal business hours at 240-835-5770 if you wish to schedule an appointment. We do not routinely monitor email, and is not to be used for medical questions/refill requests.

Phone Calls

We are a very small office with limited staff. If you call and we are unable to take your call, please leave a voicemail and we will get back to you as soon as we can. If you don’t leave a message, we don’t know to call you back.

What if I miss my appointment?

KFH has a no-show policy. Our policy states that a patient must give a 24 business hour notice of cancellation so that we may offer the appointment slot to another patient in need. If you cancel appointment same day, you will be charged $45 and you will not be rescheduled until paid. This includes same day reschedules if you are late for your appointment.

In the event of a no-show, fees are as follows:

Established patient: $50.00/No show fee. You will be not be rescheduled until this is paid.

New patient: You will not be rescheduled.

If you have two no-shows, you will be discharged from the practice.

If you are more then 5 minutes late for an appointment, your appointment will be rescheduled in order to keep from delaying other patients behind you. We need to be respectful of each others time.

If you have a balance; you will not be scheduled until this is paid.
